Well, my eBay auctions ending tonight are progressing nicely. I originally set a scheduled start time for two Thursdays ago at 9:30PM EST and set it for a 10-day auction. So, the auctions should all end at 9:30PM EST tonight, Sunday March 10, 2024. I picked that time because I read somewhere that 10:00PM EST on Sundays is the best time to end an auction. I don't recall exactly why that's the case, but I remember that the logic was sound. It had something to do with the fact that Sunday evenings are the most down time for most people because most people have daily work and activities during the work week and are doing leisure activities on Friday and Saturday evenings and nights. So, theoretically, since Sunday evenings have the most down time, there's more time to bid on auctions. I made a tweak to that and started these auctions at 9:30PM EST because I thought 10:00PM was just too late for people on the East Coast. So, it was all set to end at 9:30PM EST tonight. But... I didn't count on Daylight Savings Time. Now my 9:30 auctions are ending at 10:30PM EST! Oh well.
The cumulative total bid prices of the 14 auctions right now is $497. The highest price is $90. It's a 2017 Dansby Swanson True 1/1 Rookie Patch Auto Panini National Treasures in his Vanderbilt Commodores college uniform and colors. The lowest price right now is $7.50. That's for a 2018 Kumar Rocker /8 Rookie Patch Auto Laundry Tag Panini USA Stars & Stripes. There are also many Walker Buehler auto rookie cards, two more Dansby Swanson Rookie Patch Autos, three Vladimir Guerreros BGS 9.5 and PSA 10 Bowman Chrome Rookie Cards, and one Rafael Devers Auto RC. The nature of eBay auctions is for the prices to increase greatly in the final minutes and seconds of the auctions. So, with still two hours to go and a cumulative price of $497, I'm thinking and hoping that $700 is achievable.
We'll see!
